We've had issues with the turnaround time on our orders, quality control, and communication.

The turnaround time on our orders is extensive which causes us delays. There have been many times that Edcoat has begun the coil coating process for us only for them to find out that the coil is damaged so it is unusable. The vendor we get the coils from will not issue a refund for a coil that has been partially painted. It would be helpful if Edcoat were to inspect the coils for damages prior to beginning the process. This would help us save both time and money. Also, Edcoat does not notify us of delays until I call them for updates. I wish they would communicate with us sooner so we can stay on top of any issues that arise.

I have issues with the quality control department. They reject material. In our mind we believe it is usable, and whenever we ship it somewhere else, it gets processed but it adds up quickly having to go through someone else all the time at the last minute. We've talked to several people at Edcoat around the past month or two and nothing really changed. It makes us less likely to keep doing business with you.

I wouldn't want our competitors to know we work with them so that's the only reason why I wouldn't recommend them but in regards to Edcoat overall, I'm impressed with almost everything besides the slitting. That's the bottleneck. It's just backed up way too much and takes too long.

Things haven't been good with them for the last year.
