I think the care coordination and support when I was getting things off the ground was great and easy to access. I'm a small business and it was very user friendly. I've also worked with a larger business that used Rethink and it was very easy there, as well. The billing option has been life changing. Having it all in one system is really convenient.

I thought the training at the beginning was really helpful and typically support has been very quick to respond. The only thing that can be confusing is there are many different people who handle different things for support. So, sometimes I have to get passed around to the correct person. Once I am speaking to the right person though, they always get things handled for me.

I like the compatibility of being able to use it online and on an app. It's compatible across multiple devices which is really a big deal in certain situations. Being able to modify the graphs is very nice, as well. Being able to pull a report showing customized and specific data is a feature we were not able to find in other, similar, programs.

The main reason has to do with the features they offer and because it's easy to use. It's got a comprehensive bank with customizable options and the scheduling features are supportive of long term and short term scheduling. The onboarding was also a very smooth process. The whole team that supported was very helpful and answered any questions we had.

Overall I think it's a very good program and I do love it. I would recommend Rethink over any other similar programs despite some issues I do have with it. Somebody is always available when you email but I would have preferred more hands-on training rather than them sending an email with modules and saying "hey just let us know if you have any questions." If we could have gotten maybe a 3 or 4 hour long comprehensive training session to begin with to show us how to go about beginning to use the system. If you already know a bit about inputting behavioral data and things like that, it might work out okay. But for somebody who's baseline, it can be very confusing. I also think some of the programs could be geared more towards an at-home setting, rather than just academically. For instance sometimes I have certain fields I want a client to work on and I can't find any help for it in the system, as it doesn't seem as geared towards clinical or at-home treatment. I think if just a few things were tightened up, the things I mentioned, I would then say a 10. I think a 3 or 4 hour class that was one-on-one would solve mostly any issues I have with Rethink. We don't really have time to explore all the features and figure out how everything works without help.

I do really like the videos under the resource and training center and I like the medical necessity assessment online, as well as the RBT feature for them to do the videos through Rethink. That makes things a lot easier for them. I like the app features, those have been really to navigate for the staff. It's just been taking me a little bit of time to get used to the system. Perhaps 6 months down the line, some of my answers would have changed a bit. Overall it's been a really good system, it was just an adjustment. I really like the resource and training, I like that we can pull materials off of the programming.

I like that you can filter and add custom fields. We are still fairly new to using Rethink and maybe haven't explored every aspect yet, but those are positives that have stood out to me. There are some features that we're surprised they didn't have, though. Like, if it allowed a provider to verify insurance before data was collected, we would like that. Or, being able to email all your clients right from Rethink would be great.

Overall, I think it's a good platform. It's very hard to get through to them on the phone. Every time you call, it says someone will be with you in a minute. After an hour, it will tell you to leave a message. It's hit or miss with reaching out to them.

When I've had questions about software, they've been wonderful. However, I'm not satisfied with the credentialing. A lot of things were not really discussed thoroughly at the beginning. I did tell them that this was our first time getting credentials for speech therapy. I did give them this feedback directly to them. I had hoped for them to provide us updates from time to time without having to ask for them. So, more initiative on that. They've been okay and been responsive recently. Towards the beginning, I had a harder time with them reaching back out.

I want to stress that I love our biller and she does a great job. However, as a business owner and someone who has worked with similar software on the backside, information is not organized. Documents aren't saved in files and there isn't a tree-structure available to easily find documents. Invoices do not include any date ranges or a breakdown of what we brought in during what periods so it is hard to track the 4% of our billing that Rethink charges. Also, it would be nice if invoices come in mid-month instead of the first of the month.

We are experiencing an issue where our notes are being archived for no apparent reason. Once the notes are archived we are unable to retrieve them in order to sign them. For us to retrieve archived notes we have to reach out to the support team. I reached out to support two weeks ago for help with this issue. I received a call back a week later at which time I was told that there are only 2 people who work in support and that both of them had been off the previous week. It is difficult to move around appointments in the scheduling portion of the program. If someone cancels an appointment I have to delete the appointment before I can update other appointments. You are unable to update task analysis steps once they're entered. Navigating the resources is difficult to locate. The resources are not organized in a way that makes them easy to locate. Sometimes we never receive responses from the support team when we submit a ticket. It's nice that all of the data is graphed and online. We do not use the writing reports function because it is very difficult. Once you create a report template you are unable to make any updates to the template instead you have to create a new template.

There are some things that are super straight forward, but errors pop up repeatedly when using Tools such as templates. When we enter in client information we'll enter in a large group of clients at once. Once we've entered in the clients, we receive error messages, and our work isn't saved. This has caused us to lose over 90 hours of work. The front-end training is very thorough. My issues are with the support. When we contact them regarding the errors we receive, support will ask us what time and client we received the error for. There is no way for us to know for sure as we enter multiple clients into the templates at a time and don't get the errors until after they've all been entered. It's frustrating because we have already lost all of the information we put in and have provided support with what we can. We still have not received a resolution to the issues and there are issues occurring across the board, not just in one portion of the software.

The potential is there for Rethink to do all that we want it to do, but it does not function like any other data management system we have used which makes it difficult to learn. There are a lot of self-training resources but it would be very helpful if there was some type of live new user training with a Rethink representative. We have numerous issues with the RBT portion, IOA data, goals, and data collection. In the RBT portion, the description gets cut off if there are too many characters. On a mobile device information is cut off due to the screen size. Also, if a device is locked we do not get alert intervals. While working on IOA Data you can't see the RBT data live. You have to wait until the end of the session before you can see what notes you have taken. For goals, there is only a trial period for mastery not for assessment. Data collection for behaviors does not show up on the mobile app which is isn't useful.

The system is built on old architecture with things built on in a very awkward fashion. It causes you to have to re-do things, refresh things. It's very cumbersome and so to remember what you need to do step by step is very difficult. The interconnection between Rethink, Tebra and whatever credit card system is now being used is really bad. The credit card system has changed a couple times. It's really bad interfacing. Everybody points their fingers and says 'oh not that's not us that's Tebra' and then Tebra tells us 'no its Rethink' and so nothing gets done. It's so lopsided with a great clinical and terrible administrative. They're actually kind of merging the systems together and selling them almost as though it's one system but it's really like you're working with two companies. It's difficult to scale it with a number because they're great at clinical and terrible at administrative. The main reason is because of what I'm going through right now, there's not an option for a monthly subscription, it's annual only. I don't want to sign an annual. I feel pressured about it. They're telling me -well you could do this, you could do that- You're asking me to project something six months in advance and I don't really know what would happen 6 months out. They started charging me over double the amount halfway into it because they say I agreed to it. So, I felt pressured. I actually contacted an attorney over it. I don't want to sign an annual, I want a monthly. So, I either get charged for the extra heads that I don't have, or I go into this other contract that I don't want to go into. So again, I feel pressured and honestly I've looked at other companies and they are exorbitantly less and offer the same type of service. So, I feel stuck right now, I don't know what to do. I told them we're having financial difficulties and I don't know if we'll even be in business by October, yet they are still pressuring me to sign an annual contract. So now I have to go talk to a lawyer about it. It is what it is, I'm being forthcoming and they're saying the screen shot was shown to me, but they weren't there for the whole conversation. I've been very clear about my financial situation and they don't seem to care. I just want to do monthly. Or even if I do to the end of this contract I'm in now, that ends in October and then I could see if I want to resign but they're pressuring me to sign a yearly right now. Here I am having to choose to either stay in the contract I'm in and pay for double the amount of heads I have for six more months or go into a full annual contract which I don't think I should. So I'm at a stall and don't know what to do right now. I just think that they should offer a monthly subscription. I've been with Tebra since 2010 and I have never missed a payment and I always pay my payment though an electronic system but I am able to do it month to month. That's the difference to me. We've been with Rethink for about a year and a half now. It's not the most robust system I will say. When we signed up with them, they were two different companies that were supposed to be merging into one. I feel like a lot of promises of what would happen when they merged together have not actually happened, so that's been very frustrating for the team. As far as recommending, it would depend on who it was. If you're someone who is into programming and is good at it and has time for that, maybe Rethink would work well for you. But this was not something that was ready to go and use. I was expected to essentially build it, create all my own templates. I hardly got to even use it. It's like giving a kid a video game but telling them first they have to code the whole thing, build the levels, build the landscape and their avatar you know? There weren't templates already designed for, say, different insurance. I had to manually create them for each individual company. Considering the type of customers they have, they should be a little more knowledgeable about things like insurance and what type of templates we would need for billing them and things like that. The Rethink system wasn't able to communicate at all with other systems either. I found myself needing to input information multiple times across different programs to get everything all set. I'm sure it could be a good program for certain people to use but unfortunately it didn't work out for my company and I felt misled by the demo and the discussions before signing up. They did end up letting me cancel although at first it didn't seem like I'd be able to because of being in a contract. But it'd been two months and I'd hardly been able to use the system at all. Maybe if we were smaller but I have 200+ clients, plus my employees to oversee. I didn't have time to be a programmer on top of everything else. It just really didn't work out and wasn't helpful for my company, unfortunately. Maybe if they could work on having more templates come standard with the software and more basics already set up for the customer, it could have worked out for us.
