Everything went well with the rental. There was an issue four weeks after I brought it back. The workers said that I did damage to the rental. I never did any damage. Plus, videos and pictures were taken, and they signed off on it when I dropped it off. I know there was transportation from Long Island to New Jersey to get it moved around from both yards, so for them to try to blame me for damage four weeks later had me shocked. Overall, I still recommend you guys to people I know and the rental worked great.

This was a guard for a trenching wheel, so it wasn't in stock but it's because it was custom and it came pretty quickly regardless. When it comes to trenching I would definitely recommend Vermeer. I work with stump grinders and the main reason I use VNA is because they're local to me. However, I constantly run into the same issues with my machines. The quality isn't the best. Compared to Carlton and some of the other brands, VNA's quality is not there. In general, I would say the parts are getting better, and are available more. My superintendent and I are happy that the parts availability has improved significantly. If I need something within 72 hours, most likely, I will have it. I own a lot of Vermeer products from a 15" to a 23". I have stump grinders and a mini skid as well. For the 2300s, I have to go out of state because the Vermeer dealer is not able to provide service or parts availability. It's tough when you're in an industry where you're constantly bidding and you're compelled to use a dealer that has a monopoly. I tend to see an improvement in their disposition overall, but for a while, if you're a Vermeer owner, you have no choice and they take advantage of being a monopoly and have an overall attitude that isn't welcoming.
