The work that they did for me was excellent, I will no longer be using the CASE Dealer I was with before. Anything I need from now on will be done through Wilson. The unit I brought in is an older unit. This was a gas model and the mechanic was a diesel mechanic. He did have some issues at first because it wasn't his forte to work on a gas engine. He did fix everything else that he could. He identified the issue, he fixed my actual problem, and he was very clear with me that he wasn't a gas engine mechanic from the start. Everybody was very pleasant and polite. It was a pleasant experience for m all said and done.

hey've always treated me really good. The guys there at the parts department are really helpful and they try to help you in any way they can. My experiences with them has been good, they always try to help me. We had a big issue when I first took my machine up there, but they took care of me. It wasn't their fault, but they took care of me. They're good people, I even talked to the owner once and he gave me hats, shirts, pins. He took me in and talked to me like a person. He's a really nice guy.

I recently bought a brand new Dozer, and paid for it in full. I used it for 12 hours, and at that point the complete hydraulic system drained out. I was under the impression that since it is under warranty Wilson would come to me and service it. I had to take it to them, because if they came to me it was $1000.00. The second time I had to have routine maintenance, they came to me. After it was serviced, and I was using the Dozer, one of the bolts to the fender hadn't been put back on all the way and a tree got lodged under the fender, and it pulled the fender off. Wilson wouldn't fix it, so I had to buy the bolts and repair it myself. I was even approved for a brand new excavator, and I won't purchase it because of this. I like Wilson, and I still use them. It just hasn't been a good experience with the Dozer.

It's hard to say whether I'd offer a recommendation on anything because everybody has a monopoly on everything so you don't have a choice. Like CASE, if I need something I have to go to Wilson because there are no other options because of the monopoly. I get that's everywhere too, that's not just Wilson. Out of E-town. there were no problems. The E-town guys are great. We had to get a bigger piece of equipment out of Louisville and there were problems. The Louisville rental manager and the regional sales guy weren't responsive. I paid my bill and ended my relationship with Wilson at that point.

Wilson Equipment's prices are like buying a house. It was a very big purchase with a small warranty. I was told 3 years of limited warranty no matter what happens to my machine. When something did happen, I was charged $1,000. Jim is a great guy though. He was very helpful. Overall, based on this experience, I wouldn't want to work with Wilson again.
